In 1988 Honda introduced to
their demanding cruiser
customers the dream of sheer
luxury in motorcycling the new
1520 cc Goldwing.
A flat six engine similar to
that fitted to an earlier
machine in the early 70's
produced the power required to
satisfy its customers.
Standard equipment fitted
included, cruise control, radio
cassette with speaker units for
the pillion passenger, heater
vents, on board compressor to
pump up the rear suspension and
a facility to attach an air hose
and inflate the bikes tyres and
the icing on the cake a reverse
gear worked off the electrical
system by firstly engaging the
reverse lever then pressing the
starter button and the bike will
shunt backwards at slow speed.
Fully fuelled the GL 1500 weighs
