August Ride Out

Posted on by

There was a great turn out on August 7th for a run out on what turned out to be one of the windiest summer days Scotland has known for a long time The route took in the Dunning Forest, over the hills to the Wallace Monument where we stopped for tea and cakes. After that it was back over the hills to the Sherriffmuir Inn for another stop. We headed back to the A9 and headed for home. A great route which took in some all types of road. At times it was a bit of a rollercoaster ride with some really strong gusts of wind but everyones Goldwing stayed nailed to the road. Great fun!

Charity Ride Out

Posted on by

Once again the sun shone and we had perfect motorcycling conditions (thanks for arranging that Bill!) We managed to complete a round trip from Aberdeen via Dufftown to the Lecht and then over Gairnshiel for a photo outside the gates of Balmoral Castle just to prove the cavalry don’t always have horses. The return to Aberdeen was via the south Deeside road. A great day out and a long one for the boys from the south!

Tour of the North 2016

Posted on by

Between the 18th and 22nd of May 2016, a small but perfectly formed group of 9 Scotia Wingers, 7 on bikes and 2 trikes toured the Outer Hebrides, North Scotland and Orkney. During the trip we dealt with light, heavy and torrential rain, gale force winds, warm bright sunshine and just about every mixture of them all. We rode through some of the best scenery Scotland and the Isles have to offer.

A great time was had by all.
